Halle Berry has the perfect face for short hair. She is simply stunning looking woman. I would say don't cut. I did this 12 years ago, and it took me 7 years to get it back to my medium length again.
cserdan - Yup me too, I also love cute pixie haircuts. I have naturally curly hair which means that I will have to put up with 'cow-licks' as the hair gets longer. I'll have to get regular monthly trims to keep the pixie shape strong or I risk looking like Bea Arthur LOL.
dawn - I agree, Halle Berry is a stunning woman. I actually had a pixie haircut when I was 20 years old - many moons ago - LOL!! It looked pretty good (people said) on me BUT (I agree with you) it was a pain in the butt trying to grow it out with my curly, wiry hair. It took me about a year and a half to get it to a length that I could work with again.
As a side note, I swim in a chlorinated pool several times a week and I have a difficult time styling my dry, frizzy hair that is also colour-treated. Swimming will continue during the winter months which will wreak further havoc on my skin and hair. I need a manageable hairdo that will alleviate the angst of washing and drying (and plugging up the bathtub drain) all the time.
I love short hair and I'm always getting my hair cut. I say, if you trust your stylist and they agree, then go for it. I want pictures when you are done :)
A few years ago I graduated from George Brown College's pastry arts program. Since then I've worked at several bakeries and restaurants in Toronto, honing my skills and learning fresh approaches to classic desserts.
